    Welcome to the Burlingame Website!

Welcome to Burlingame!  We’re glad you’ve found the community interactive website for our historic and tight-knit community of 186 homes.  This website is sponsored by the Burlingame Neighborhood Association (BNA), which is a non-profit (501(c)(4)) Social Welfare organization with a mission to promote good city living, good neighbors and good fun.  We are also non-commercial, non-sectarian, non-racial and non-partisan.  We are a true ‘Neighborhood Association’ – we are open to any resident (homeowner, renter, leasee) and don’t have a ‘rules and regulations’ book for you to memorize or follow!  We act as a Neighborhood Association or Community Council on behalf of our neighborhood.  Everyone is invited to attend the ‘open’ monthly BNA Board meetings.  The BNA Directors are committed to representing the entire neighborhood and ask for your involvement, whether it’s your time, ideas or membership contributions. Let us know if there is something we can help you with.

Burlingame Homeowners Association now Burlingame NEIGHBORHOOD Association

At the 09 February 2011 BHA Board meeting the BHA Board had a detailed discussion and made a decision to pursue changing the name of the “Burlingame Homeowners Association (BHA)” to the “Burlingame Neighborhood Association (BNA)”.  At the BHA Annual Meeting, the BHA membership overwhelming approved the name change as well.  Due to our California non-profit corporation (an 501(c)(4) ‘Public Benefit Corporation’ status, the BHA (BNA) Board must file the appropriate paperwork with the California Secretary of State’s office for the change to be officially recorded.  However, from now on our organization will be called the BURLINGAME NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION” and go by the initials “BNA”.  We thank the membership and the community in their support of this effort to have our name better reflect what our organization is about, and while we have always been inclusive in action, now we are in name as well.  All homeowners, renters and leasers in Burlingame are welcome to join the B N A!

    Balboa Park/Plaza de Panama Presentation

Balboa Park/Plaza de Panama Presentation for Burlingame
    Wednesday, March 16th
    7:00 – 8:00pm at Mazara Trattoria 2302 30th Street
(Corner of 30th & Juniper St.)

BHA was approached by Save Our Heritage Organisation (SOHO) about making a presentation to the neighborhood regarding concerns they have about the planned changes and construction related to traffic diversion away from Plaza de Panama in Balboa Park.  Since our neighborhood is generally interested in historical topics, BHA agreed to host a meeting where both the projects sponsors and SOHO could present information to the neighborhood.  This is YOUR opportunity to hear about the significant changes to Balboa Park and the Plaza first hand, and to hear a group with a record of historical preservation efforts to express their concerns as well.  Please come and listen, ask questions,  and get an early look at what Balboa Park might look like in a few years.  We hope to see you there!

Burlingame and Mazara Pizza Fundraiser -Success

Burlingame had their first ever fundraiser with Mazara’s this Wednesday.  Whether Burlingame neighbors ate in, got take out, or delivery, it all counted for BHA!  Thanks to all our neighbors that joined in for food and drinks from Mazara’s.   Those that mentioned BHA at time of thier had 20% of thier entire check go directly to the BHA and help support the festivities for the 2012 Centennial Celebration.  Mazara’s reported that they had a great night as well, so it worked out for everyone.

    Burlingame Coloring Contest Winners

Coloring-contest-Hannahcolor-contest---Harriet-JafIn the spring 2010 Burlingame Newsletter there was a chance for the children of Burlingame to color-in and submit an art piece.  Those entries we’re evaluated by a Burlingame team, and two winners were chosen for the two age groups.  The winners are actually sisters!  Hannah and Harriet each won their age groups at ‘almost 7′ and ‘over 3′ years old.  Harriet’s use of color was excellent, while Hannah’s coloring skills and addition of artful elements won the judges over.  CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH!  Thier works of art are here for you to enjoy them as we have.
